Abstract

In order to introduce and evaluate the adaptation of new lines (genotypes) of facultative wheat (Triticum aestivum) from ICARDA and CIMMYT to agroecological conditions of the Mantaro Valley, in central Peru. Observation plots were installed at the “El Mantaro” Agricultural Experiment Station (3316 masl) where 287 lines from three international nurseries (24th FAWWON-IRR (1), 24th FAWWON-IRR (2) and 24th FAWWO - SA in Individual rows of 2.5 m x 0.3 m were evaluated: the percentage of emergence (CIMMYT scale), severity of yellow and black rust, septoria, Fusarium wilt and virus wilt (Cobb scale), plant height and plots harvested in the first and second harvest. indicate that the percentage of emergence varied between 1 and 5 degrees, registering affectations of diseases in the seedlings, likewise, optimum heights and yield were registered despite the dry and cold conditions of the place, which indicates that there are good projections in the adaptation of the varieties under study.
